Step 3. Home Directory
After you login, you are taken to the Home Directory, where your files and folders are stored. For a new account, this area is blank.
Commands available on this screen are:
- Create a new file: New File on the File menu, or on the toolbar.
- Create a new folder: New Folder on the toolbar.
- Go in to a folder: Double click the folder.
- Open a file: Double click the file.
- Rename a file or folder: Right click it and select Rename.
- Delete a file or folder: Right click it and select Delete.
- Copy a file or folder: Right click it and select Copy. Then right click the deistnation folder and select Paste
- Move a file or folder: Right click it and select Cut. Then right click the destination folder and select Paste.
- Go up a folder level: Use the Up button on the toolbar.
- Go back to Home Directory: Use the Home button on the toolbar.
